For $88.00 Brake Team is able to put your car on the hoist, take off the wheels and disassemble the bake caliper, removing the brake pads. We also remove the rotor or brake drum and puts it on the brake lathe. The brake lathe is a machine that can smooth out the high and low spots on a rotor or drum, creating a new surface for the brake pads or shoes to stop the vehicle. The brake technician, then installs new brake pads or brake shoes in the caliper, greasing any bearings that are not sealed, put the rotor back on the axle, putting the tires on, and bleeding the brake system if necessary. We use a premum quality brake pad, better that the original manufacture requires. There are brake pads that cost less, but we have found that they are noisy and wear out faster.

There are other components in the brake system as well, such as calipers, brake hardware, drums, rotors, lines, wheel cylinders, master cylinders, valves, and fluid that we check the condition of when you bring in your car. We check the condition of these parts.

If you check the brake pads at the first indications of the warning signs and take care of it right away, you can prevent damage to other components. Changing brake pads is a simple repair, and because we purchase brake pads and brake shoes in volume, we get better prices, so that we are able to offer you better brakes, at better prices.
